OREANDA-NEWS. June 01, 2012. Azerbaijan changes requirements for getting information access. Today at the joint meeting Committees for Legal Policy and State Building and for Human Rights recommended amendments to the law " On information access" at the plenary meeting of the Parliament.

"The amendments fix frames of information reception possibilities. This should be regarded as the step directed for limitation of information access. Abuses are possible in this sphere if necessary limits are not specified",- said the Head of  Parliamentary Committee for Legal Policy and State Building Ali Huseynli.

According to the amendments, the right for information reception is given as long as it does not contradict Azerbaijan’s national interests in political, economic and military spheres, protection of interest in currency-political sphere, provision of public order, health and dignity, protection of other people’s rights and freedom, commercial and other economic interests, and provision of courts’ objectiveness and authority.
