OREANDA-NEWS. June 4, 2012. TeliaSonera opened IT Development Center in Estonia. The center will develop services and solutions for all TeliaSonera companies in the Nordic and Baltic countries. Solutions created in the development center in Estonia will reach 20 million customers.

Opening of the development center in Tallinn is important for TeliaSonera’s Multimarket Organisation, which includes opening various competence centers in different countries.

Our goal is to always give our customers a world class service experience”, says Claes Nycander, CTO and SVP Mobility Services, TeliaSonera.

„The competence center in Tallinn is a center of excellence where we create world class service for TeliaSonera customers by creating a dynamic work environment, gathering staff and focusing our development efforts,” said Valdo Kalm, CEO of EMT.

In this competence center TeliaSonera will be focusing its development in the business support system (BSS) area. There will be a strong team of 30-50 professionals working with BSS in Tallinn.

According to the President of the Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications (ITL), Taavi Kotka, the fact that TeliaSonera has brought its IT development center to Tallinn is an acknowledgement of the strength of the IT sector in Estonia.

IT Development Center in Tallinn is the second competence center that TeliaSonera has opened. The first center was Incident Control Center (ICC) in Sundsvall in Sweden handling surveillance of TeliaSonera’s mobile networks and services. There are other competence centers planned to be opened in other countries as well.
