OREANDA-NEWS. June 04, 2012. The Day of Textile Worker of Turkmenistan was widely celebrated in our country. The ceremonies of awarding best workers of the industry took place at all enterprises affiliated to the textile industry of Turkmenistan on occasion of the remarkable date.

Guests from many countries all over the world arrived in the Turkmen capital to take part in the festive celebrations and the International Exhibition on the Achievements and Prospects for Development of the Textile Industry of Turkmenistan held at the Exhibition Centre in Ashgabat.

The scientific conference that brought together the Turkmen and foreign leading specialists, scientists, and representatives of large companies and trading firms from Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Turkey, Korea, Russia, China and others at the conference hall of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan took place within the textile forum.

They presented a number of reports covering the priority aspects for developing the national textile industry and the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in implementing its huge potential. According to those speaking at the forum the course for creation of high-technology industries and wide application of innovative developments, the priority of international standards of quality and ecological requirements has aroused the keen interest of foreign companies in enhancing the business partnership with Turkmenistan in various spheres of the textile industry. First of all, in such areas as construction of manufacturing entities, direct supplies of state-of-the-art equipment, export of Turkmen textile, training of specialists.

The review of the dynamics of developing the national textile industry in the modern period, as well as detailed information on the exiting situation of the textile business at the world market according to the World Trade Organisation were presented in the framework of the conference. It was noted that the high demand of consumers for cotton fibre, yarn, natural fabrics and garments from it defined an important role of this industry in increasing the export potential of our country.

In this regard, the reports presented by foreign partners focused on creation of new line facilities oriented for the complete production cycle starting from processing raw cotton to production of finished goods, advanced trends in the sphere of manufacturing equipment and technologies, improving the after-sale service and marketing service.

The prospects for widening mutually beneficial long-term cooperation were reflected in the presentations made by specialists of the Marzoli and Savio (Italy), Schlafhorst, Truetzschler and Oerlikon (Germany), Rieter (Switzerland), Picanol (Belgium), the world producers in the sphere of spinning and weaving industries.

As is known, the high-speed processing lines with automated control systems manufactured by these producers ensure production of high-quality competitive goods, the major part of which are exported. The specialized service centers of these companies working in Ashgabat ensure that original manufacturing equipment and spare parts are delivered for Turkmen cotton spinning factories, tools and equipment are maintained and consulting services are provided in a proper and timely manner, including in the electronic format. The representatives of the Bezema Company (Switzerland) presented the advanced scientific developments and technologies of dyeing textile materials.

A scientific officer of the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade representing a big group of the South Korean companies, our potential partners making their debut at the Turkmen market dedicated his report to the potential and trends of mutually beneficial long-term cooperation. These issues have been discussed during a business-meeting held within the last day of the international exhibition.
