OREANDA-NEWS. June 04, 2012. TEO LT, AB, the largest provider of integrated telecommunication, IT and TV services in Lithuania, has offered the service "Storage for Business" for small and medium-sized businesses. Customers, who order it, will be able to store up to 1 terabyte of data in a secure data center, and documents will be accessible from everywhere where Internet access is available.

The surveys carried out by TEO show that as many as 14 per cent of small and medium-sized businesses in Lithuania have experienced the loss of important data. However, only 47 per cent of those surveyed said that they stored important documents and data on computer data storage devices, CD and DVD discs or USB drives.

The new service of TEO is designed so as to allow companies, which have ordered it, to safely upload and store their data in the data centre located in Sweden that is owned by the telecommunications company TeliaSonera.

The service "Storage for Business" is extremely easy to use – after installing the application on the computer, it automatically creates backup copies of files in selected directories. Customers can also themselves upload desired documents to the storage.
