OREANDA-NEWS. June 07, 2012.  Wizz Air, the largest low-cost, low-fare airline in Central and Eastern Europe, announced today it will open one new route from Kutaisi to Kiev from September 2012 which will deliver over 40,000 passengers in the first full year of operation and support 40 jobs in Kutaisi. This new route will operate three times per week and is the first low-fares airlink to/from Georgia and offers access to one of Europe’s leading route networks with over 240 routes across 27 countries.

To celebrate this new route, which will be operated by Wizz Air Ukraine, Wizz Air launched a seat sale with fares starting from €22.99 (one way) which are now available for booking on wizzair.com.

“Wizz Air is delighted to announce this new Kutaisi route with very low fares for Georgian travelers and visitors. This year over 12 million passengers will chose Wizz Air’s low fares and superior service over high-fare and fuel surcharging airlines and for the first time this choice is now available in Georgia. We are pleased to contribute to the tourism development of the Kutaisi region and urge passengers to book early on wizzair.com to secure the lowest fares”, - said John Stephenson, Executive Vice President of Wizz Air Group, in Kutaisi today.
