OREANDA-NEWS. June 09, 2012. In the course of the Russian-Japanese Investment Forum in the city of Kazan, State Corporation ‘Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)’ and Nippon Export and Investment Insurance (NEXI)) entered into an agreement on cooperation in structural financing of foreign economic Russian-Japanese projects including the use of currency market instruments.

On behalf of Vnesheconombank the agreement was signed by Board Member, Vnesheconombank Deputy Chairman Anatoly Ballo and on behalf of NEXI – by Head of NEXI’s representative office in Paris Shigehiro Yoshino.

The agreement signed demonstrates improved long-term prospects for cooperation between the financial institutions of Russia and Japan.

Japan’s Export and Investment Insurance Corporation NEXI was set up in April of 2001 and is a state-run agency responsible for promoting the export of goods and services from Japan as well as for providing support for export-import and investment transactions conducted by Japanese companies in other countries including the Russian Federation’s territory.
