OREANDA-NEWS. June 13, 2012. AeroSvit Airlines is hereby apologizing to the passengers for the flight delays, which increased in June 2012, and for the inconveniences caused accordingly.

Main reason of such failures is the unexpected decommissioning of four foreign partner carriers’ aircraft in May this year as well as the delay of the two new aircraft delivery due to reasons beyond the company’s control. That significantly limited Airline’s capacity to reserve aircraft.

Lack of the aircraft Airline relied upon while planning the schedule, especially affected flight regularity taking into account increase of passenger volumes in the first decade of June with the commencement of EURO-2012 Football Championship.

In order to restore the planned carriage capacity, as early as in May AeroSvit speeded up the procedure of concluding the lease agreements for three additional aircraft: one ATR-72 and two Boeing 737-700. In the second half of June these aircraft as well as 2 new Embraer-190 will be introduced into service.

This week AeroSvit expects to gradually restore the flight regularity. Along with that, before introducing into service of all five additional aircraft, delays of some flights of the carrier are possible.

Thereby passengers are kindly asked to check the actual time of flight departure and arrival well in advance in accordance with AeroSvit dispatch service’s operational information which is published at the online boards in airports, in particular at Boryspil airport, as well as via  (044) 393-43-71 telephone number for free calls, introduced by Boryspil airport for providing information to passengers.

For passenger service in case of flight delays, please contact AeroSvit service centers in the waiting hall of Boryspil Airport Terminal B or the Airlines’ passenger service counter in the transfer zone.
