OREANDA-NEWS. June 18, 2012. The recovery of work of domestic oil refineries is #1 issue for the Government. This was declared by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov during a visit Chervonodonetsk compressor station as part of his working visit to Kharkiv region.

"For us, a launching of our oil refining plants - #1 task. We have 5 plants from 7 are now standing idle and the other two don't work at full capacity," said Mykola Azarov.

Thus, he emphasized this is due to the fact that Russia has set very high export taxes which together with the high price for oil and current prices for fuel in Ukraine makes it unprofitable operation of domestic refineries.

According to him, our oil refinery plants unable to compete with foreign ones as they require the reconstruction and modernization carrying out.
