OREANDA-NEWS. June 18, 2012. Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Tatarstan visited the Refining and Petrochemical Plants Complex in Nizhnekamsk, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT. 

During a working visit to the NPiNHZ Complex President of the Republic of Tatarstan was accompanied by Rinat Sabirov, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Nail Maganov, First Deputy General Director of TATNEFT Company, Head of URNiN, Chairman of TANECO's Board of Directors, Khamza Bagmanov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Yury Alyashev, Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Public Utilities of Tatarstan and Aydar Metshin, Head of the Nizhnekamsk Municipal District.

The leader of the Republic began inspection of the TANECO production site with a combined hydrocracking unit. The facility is designed to process up to 2.9 million tons of vacuum gas oil per year. The installation will be included in the process flow of the Complex and will allow increasing the yield of light products and obtaining high-quality commercial products. Heads of contracting organizations "Neftegasengineering", "Kamgesenergostroy", "Glavneftegazstroyservis", "Tatelectromontazh" involved in the project reported to the President about the current situation at the place. Rustam Minnikhanov set a task for the builders to accelerate the rate of construction and make the most of favorable weather conditions.

Further, the President proceeded to the facilities of the refinery in action. Chingiz Khalilov, Director of the refinery informed the people present about special features of the process of the sulfur production installation, where commissioning work is underway. The installation has been designed to extract hydrogen sulfide from refined crude oil products obtaining granular elemental sulfur. The advanced technologies and up-to-date equipment applied at OAO TANECO allow achieving serious effect in terms of resource/energy saving and environmental conservation.

Rustam Minnikhanov got thoroughly acquainted with the refined oil products offloading arrangements. The capacity of NPiNHZ Complex racks amounts to 10,440 tons or 200 tanks per day of light and 15,480 tons or 260 tanks of dark oil products. Currently the products shipment is carried out simultaneously on four railway tracks by 36 cars each according to the project.

The advanced equipment and technologies which allow achieving high quality purification of industrial sewage at the treatment plants of NPiNHZ Complex were also demonstrated to President of the Republic of Tatarstan.
