OREANDA-NEWS. June 18, 2012. OJSC KAMAZ became the winner of the "Russia’s Best Exporter’2011" contest. The company won this competition for the 13th time in succession.

The Department of Foreign Economic Relations of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, annually announcing the rating of Russia’s best exporters in all sectors of the economy, congratulated the top managers of KAMAZ on the victory in the nomination "The Best Russian Exporter of the Automotive Industry (vehicles for transportation of goods and special-purpose vehicles)” according to the results of 2011.

Last year the company sold more than 6 thousand vehicles for foreign countries. Since 2009, the export share of the company has been growing steadily: it sold 3,891 units of vehicles in 2009 and 4,040 vehicles in 2010. This answers the strategic purpose of KAMAZ – to become a global player in the automotive market. Thus, the company approved the strategic development program the purpose of which is to increase its export share to 20% in 2015 and to 30% in 2020.

It should be added that JSC Neftekamsk Automobile Plant – KAMAZ’s subsidiary in Bashkortostan – became the best exporter in its nomination too.
