OREANDA-NEWS. June 19, 2012. An innovative CNG NEFAZ bus model aroused great interest at Busworld Russia’2012 which was held in Nizhny Novgorod.

The exhibition which was held two years in succession gathered experts engaged in the manufacture of buses, equipment, systems and components for their repair and maintenance. One of its main goals this year is to provide opportunities for passenger vehicles purchasing for the main sports events in Russia – the 2013 Universiade in Kazan, the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, the 2016 World Hockey Championship, the 2018 FIFA World Cup, as well as the stage of Formula 1 which will pass in Sochi from 2014.

The NEFAZ-5299 city bus model presented by OJSC KAMAZ’s distributor of NGVs – OOO RariTEK – is equipped with a 260 hp KAMAZ gas engine complying with Euro 4 emission standards, a Lincoln automatic lubrication system, as well as a device meant for transportation of people with reduced capabilities.

During the exhibition, the stand of RariTEK was visited by members and guests, including the representatives of the municipal enterprises of passenger transportation, regional ministries, as well as the delegation of the administration of Nizhny Novgorod. The increased interest in the CNG city bus is also connected with the allocation of federal subsidies for the purchase of municipal passenger buses running on natural gas.
