OREANDA-NEWS.  June 20, 2012. “The life of a parent is often a great logistical challenge, especially during school. In addition to work duties, a parent has to worry about where their child could safely spend their time between school and training or the ride home. Today – with the summer and mainly next school year in mind – we are opening a playroom for the children of our employees in SEB’s main building, which will be open every workday so that children can rest and play or do their schoolwork there while their parents are working,” said Riho Unt, Chairman of the Management Board at SEB, reported the press-centre of SEB.

In celebration of the opening of the playroom, 150 children are accompanying their parents to work at SEB’s main building today. This will allow the children to get acquainted with the playroom, and also see what their parents do on a daily basis.

“The children of employees are always welcome at SEB, but in the case of many positions – such as that of bank teller – it is difficult for children to hang out. To make it more comfortable for the employees’ children, this special room was created. If any Estonian employer wishes to do something similar for the children of their employees, we will be glad to share our experience,” added May-Liis Veinjarv, Assistant Director of the Personnel and Training Division.
