OREANDA-NEWS. June 21, 2012. The second round of the talks on the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area between Moldova and EU has been completed in Brussels. The talks were held by the delegation of Moldova headed by Deputy Minister of Economy Octavian Calmic and the EU delegation headed by EU Trade Department Director Luc Devigne.

At a press conference following the talks Octavian Calmic remarked that the participants of the talks touched upon identification of legal texts on every of 13 areas of the agreements: access of goods and services to the market, matters of intellectual property, competition, public procurements, long-term development, phyto-sanitary measures, rules of goods origin and others.

The talks were taken part in by a representative of Transdniestira who had a status of an observer. The delegation of Moldova informed the EU commission about the process of harmonization of Moldovan laws with the European ones on all chapters and areas.
