OREANDA-NEWS. June 25, 2012. ISS-Reshetnev experts held a business meeting with the representatives of the German Aerospace Center and TESAT Spacecom company.

Being committed to building spacecraft, Academician M.F. Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems strives for using the most advance developments of space engineering. Materials, instruments and equipment are purchased from leading Russian and foreign manufacturers. ISS-Reshetnev specialists, therefore, regularly arrange meetings with delegations of those companies, whose products can be included in satellites yet to be built. On June 13 a business meeting of this kind was held with the representatives of the German Aerospace Center and TESAT Spacecom company.

TESAT is one of the leading German producers of onboard equipment intended for satellite platforms, as well as payloads for communications and navigation spacecraft. During their working visit, TESAT experts delivered a presentation and told about the products that the company supplies to foreign customers, and international projects that it participates in. As of today, Information Satellite Systems develops the in-house payload production technology, and business contacts with the German specialists can be highly advantageous.

Rainer Scharenberg, international cooperation manager at the German Aerospace Center, said that since the organization is a member of the European Space Agency, it aims to promote the development of space industries not only in Germany, but in Russia as well. According to the Center representatives, the Reshetnev Company, being one of the leading world-class telecommunications satellite manufacturers, is among its top-priority prospective partners.

A series of business meetings is to be held this year to provide more details on Russian-German cooperation plans. There is every likelihood that this partnership will open up new opportunities for ISS-Reshetnev in the area of modern spacecraft production.
