OREANDA-NEWS.  June 27, 2012. Total U.S. industry consumption of recovered paper in May 2012 was 2.54 million tons, 3% higher than April 2012. Year-to-date consumption in 2012 is 3% lower than during the same period last year, as the American Forest & Paper Association said in the press release.

U.S. exports of recovered paper dropped 11% in April compared to March, with decreases mainly seen in other mechanical and corrugated. Year-to-date exports of recovered paper in 2012 are 2% lower than during the same period in 2011.

The American Forest & Paper Association is the national trade association of the forest products industry, representing pulp, paper, packaging and wood products manufacturers, and forest landowners.
