OREANDA-NEWS. June 27, 2012. Stats-Secretary Andrey Tsarikovskiy, Deputy Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia), took part in the 54th session of the Economic Council of the Commonwealth of Independent States, He gave a report “On the State of Competition on the Market of Distribution of Food Products in Retail Trade Networks in CIS Member-States”, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia. 

The report is based on a survey carried out by ICAP Headquarters for Joint investigations of the Violations of the Antimonopoly Law in CIS Member-States. The purpose of the survey was to expose problems and bottlenecks, affecting the food products markets, including pricing; particularly pricing specifics for the services of trade networks.

The report is approved by CIS Economic Council and submitted for consideration of the Council of CIS Heads of Governments, which will take place on 27-28 September 2012, in Yalta (Ukraine).

The parties also discussed the cooperation strategy of CIS member-states for building-up and developing information society and the blueprint for its fulfillment for the period until 2015, agreements on interstate technical regulations, a concept of “Mir 24” Information TV-Channel based on “Mir” Interstate Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, a standard agreement on cross-border cooperation, etc.
