OREANDA-NEWS. June 28, 2012. The document was signed in the framework of the working visit of the Premier of Moldova to Brussels.

It reflects fundamental points of view of Moldova and EU on matters of quality and protection of consumer rights and intellectual property.

“The document has been developed to push forward and protect the quality of products, which will be beneficial not only for the agricultural sectors of Moldova and EU but to consumers of farming goods too. The documents also contributes to the implementation of the future agreement on association and the deep, comprehensive and free trade area with EU”, Vladimir Filat said.

According to him, signing of this agreement once more justifies Moldova’s commitment to adopt European quality standards and policies and consistently meet its obligations to EU. Dacian Ciolos, European Commissioner for agriculture and rural development stated the document opens new opportunities for Moldova and has become an important stage in DCFTA negotiations with EU.
