OREANDA-NEWS. June 29, 2012. The payload module structure of the telecommunications spacecraft Express-AT2, manufactured by the Reshetnev Company, has been sent to Thales Alenia Space (France).

In accordance with the terms of the Express-AT2 satellite procurement contract, Academician M.F. Reshetnev Information Satellite Systems is responsible for the design, development, manufacture of the platform and payload module structure, as well as for the integration and testing of the spacecraft. The main subcontractor under the project is Thales Alenia Space, which, in its turn, is to deliver the repeater and antennas.

ISS-Reshetnev team sent the payload module structure to France on June 17. As soon as incoming control procedures are completed, Thales Alenia Space specialists will begin the repeater installation. The work will be concluded with electrical verifications of all instrumentation. After that, the payload module with antennas installed, will be delivered to Information Satellite Systems to undergo integration with the platform and further verification.
