OREANDA-NEWS.  July 04, 2012. Austria to extend Moldova a concession loan at a sum of 7,5 mln. euros through UniCreditBank Austria AG to back the Better Medical Service in the Republican Clinical Hospital project. This is stipulated by the agreement between Moldova and UniCreditBank Austria AG signed by Minister of Finance of Moldova Veaceslav Negruta and Executive Director of the Bank Doris Pignitter.

The loan will be extended at even for 15 years with 5.5 -year long grace period. The recipient will pay a commitment fee of 0.5% p.a., a duty for the credit administration at an amount of 0,5% of a sum of the loan and another administration duty at an amount of 1440 euros. The Better Medical Service in the Republican Clinical Hospital provides modernization of surgery, diagnostic, emergency and intensive therapy department of the Republican Clinical Hospital; purchase of modern equipment to improve quality of medical services, put into practise new methods of diagnostics and treatment, etc.

This project is of great importance for the healthcare system of Moldova and its hospital sector, Finance Minister stated after the signing ceremony. The project will allow putting into practice an early detection system, which will have a positive influence on the treatment. According to Health Minister Andrei Usatii, this loan will help to improve services provided to patients in diagnostics, intensive heart care, anaesthesiology and resuscitation.
