OREANDA-NEWS. July 06, 2012. The solemn diploma presentation of the second SKOLKOVO MBA programme class and the third SKOLKOVO Executive MBA programme class as well as the first SKOLKOVO Alumni Ball in the school's history took place on the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO Campus.

The evening started with the official ceremony in Congress Hall where the Founding partners, graduates, students, guests and employees of the SKOLKOVO business school gathered together.  Andrei Rappoport, President of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO, and Andrei Volkov, Dean of the business school, were the first to congratulate the MBA-2 and EMBA-3 graduates on the completion of such a significant life stage. They wished them lots of success in their future undertakings and promised to intently observe their further career development.

The ceremony continued with the presentation of the graduated who had distinguished themselves during the study. The winners of the following nominations got their awards right from the Founding partners: the most creative project, the most social aware, great contribution to project work and those with the highest GPA in both classes.

Having received the long-expected diplomas from Andrei Rappoport and Andrei Volkov, the MBA-2 and EMBA-3 graduates devoted lots of grateful words to the SKOLKOVO business school Founding partners and faculty. In the end of the solemn part of the evening the graduated gathered on the Congress Hall stage, traditionally threw up in the air their academic hats and made wishes.

Having changed gowns with evening dresses and black ties, the graduates together with students and the school’s guests continued the night in informal atmosphere. The main event of the ball was a charitable auction organized by the SKOLKOVO Women Association. For the auction more than twenty lots offered by the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO Founding Partners were put up, among them were: Orel trotters ride at Andrei Rappoport’s stud farm, a breakfast with Ruben Vardanian, a parachute jump with the participation Andrei Volkov, two tickets in Roman Abramovich’s box on a FC Chelsea match, an individual training with Mike Willard on the “Anti-crisis communication” topic from TNK-BP and lots of others. All the means gathered during the auction will be spent on scholarship financing for the future SKOLKOVO MBA programme students. The night ended with communication in a pleasant company accompanies by great music.
