OREANDA-NEWS. July 10, 2012. The meeting was attended by representatives of more than 20 construction companies, which are consumers of Ulyanovsk cement. The geographies of those companies present were represented rather well: Ulyanovsk Region, Nizhni Novgorod Region, the Republic of Tatarstan, The Chuvash Republic, and many others.

The consumer day was opened by Director General of “Ulyanovskcement”, JSC Arthur Chebotarev. He thanked everyone for their interest in the meeting, spoke about the results of production activities at the plant in 2011, shared plant’s achievements in ensuring the uninterrupted production of raw materials, focused on the latest trends in the changing product’s range, and reported on the future prospects of the plant.

Eduard Zvyagintsev – Chief Technology Officer of the plant – spoke about the improvement of existing production processes and the quality of the plant’s management system. “Thanks to the systematic work in the field of quality management, none of the applications from our consumer regarding the quality of cement is left without our attention,” – he said, – “Exactly effective teamwork of every department of the plant in this system allows us not resting on our laurels and continue improving the quality of our cement.”

Head of the Technical Control Department and Laboratory Olga Yerofeeva in her speech paid particular attention to the quality of cement produced. In the dialogue format consumers had the opportunity to discuss the properties of each of the brands of cement produced and share experience on how to use Ulyanovsk products for specific purposes, e.g. for the production of concrete and for paving the airfield runway.

 At the height of construction season, many consumers are most interested in the issues of pricing and delivery terms. Director General of Ulyanovsk branch of “EUROCEMENT group”, JSC Sergei Ryabov, when speaking about the development of marketing policy of the company, stressed the need to respond quickly to constantly changing needs of end users. An example of such a response was the development of a centralized delivery of Ulyanovsk cement plant products with the help of branded cement trucks based on the Mercedes Benz chassis. Over the past three years, the need for centralized delivery has been steadily increasing, so the fleet of branded cement trucks is growing as well. At this point “Ulyanovskcement”, JSC has 21 units of the aforementioned vehicles, as well as two “Thonars”.

The results of 2011 show that Ulyanovsk branch of “EUROCEMENT group”, JSC was the best one among marketing branches of the “EUROCEMENT group” Holding. Branch management has decided to share the victory with their consumers, and award the “best” consumers with certificates and gifts in the following categories: “Leader of the Year” for the greatest volume of products sampling, “Stable reliability” for the long-term cooperation, “Professional conduct of business activity” for financial discipline, and many others.

The meeting with customers ended with a friendly tour around the plant and visit to the “Ulyanovskcement”, JSC laboratory.

The meeting with consumers resulted in the fact that a number of issues have been quickly resolved. In addition, the meeting with consumers showed the need for development and strengthening of feedback that confirms the transparency and trust between consumer and producer of cement.
