OREANDA-NEWS. July 10, 2012. Russian Helicopters, a leading global designer and manufacturer of some of the most renowned, innovative and widely used helicopters, is pleased to announce its participation in this year’s Farnborough International Airshow on June 9-15. Russian-made helicopters will be on display at the Oboronprom stand E10 and E14 in Hall 1.

The company will showcase its latest civilian models at Farnborough, including the international debut of the multi-role medium Ka-62 alongside the latest version of the Mi-8/17 series – one of the world’s most popular models – and the versatile light Ansat. Russian Helicopters will also highlight progress made on developing its after-sales service network as it continues creating a full-cycle offering from research and development to lifetime maintenance.

The Farnborough International Airshow has been held since 1948, and takes place every two years. In 2010, more than 1,400 exhibitors took part, with 70 delegations from 44 countries, 152 aircraft on flying and static display, and USD 47bn of business announced. Over 1,500 exhibitors from more than 40 counties are expected to attend Farnborough 2012.
