OREANDA-NEWS. July 12, 2012. Belarus is raising retail prices for certain cigarette brands on Jul 1, 2012 by 3.3-15.2%, depending on the brand, the Tax Ministry of Belarus told reporters.

Belarusian-made Cronon brand cigarettes will grow in price 3.3% to Br3.050 per pack (USD 0.366), Magnat - up 3.3% to Br3,100 (USD 0.372).

Minsk Superslims and Minsk 5 Superslims brand cigarettes will grow in price by7.2% to Br3,700 per pack, Fest and Fest 7 cigarette brands – up 3.6% to Br2,900 per pack.

NZ 8, NZ 10 – up 7.4% to Br3,650, Queen Charm, Queen Eleganse, Queen Menthol, Queen Elite Superslims, Queen Superslims – up 5.9% Br3,600, VIP – up 15.2% to Br5,300, Korona – up 6% to Br3,700.

The retail price of Viceroy brand cigarettes will go up 9.3% to Br5,900 per pack, Pall Mall – up 9.1% to Br6,000, Lucky Strike – up 6.7% to Br8,000, Kent – up 10% to Br11,000, Winston – up 6.7% to Br8,000, Monte Carlo – up 0.1% to Br6,000, West – up 8.1% to Br6,700, Golden Gate – up 10.2% to Br5,400.

Magna Blue and Magna Red cigarettes will go up in price to Br3,900 per pack, Camel Black and Camel White – 8,600 rubles, Winston XSense Blue and Winston XSense Silver – Br8,200.

Belarus’ latest increase in cigarette prices occurred on June 1, 2012, by 1.5%-3.7% on average.
