OREANDA-NEWS. July 16, 2012. The country leadership signed a number of decrees that made relevant assignments to collect taxes, duties, rent fees and other budget payments only via banks and to ensure e-payment of duties and other payments for the services rendered by public structures, reported the press-centre of CBA.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan jointly with relevant public structures successfully continues activities on launch of the Government Payment Portal.

As previously reported, internal information systems of the Ministry of Taxes and the Ministry of Finance and the Main State Road Police Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been integrated to the Government Payment Portal’s infrastructure over the period.

The internal information system of the State Social Protection Fund has been successfully integrated to the Government Payment Portal as a follow-up of the project which enables to accept payments from individuals engaged in entrepreurship, landowners and other insusred persons via the Government Payment Portal’s infrastructure.

Currently, the centralized database hosts data on 125 thousand insured persons from Baku, Sumgayit, Absheron, Ganja, Agjabedi, Beylagan, Barda, Jalilabad, Goychay, Ismayilly, Kurdamir, Lankaran, Gabala, Shamakhy, Shirvan, Khachmaz and Yevlakh. Payments on other regions shall be accepted in parallel to application of a centralized treasury account by the State Treasury in the regions in question.

This opportunity allows individuals engaged in entrepreneurship, landowners and other insured persons from the above regions to make payments in 41 banks and about 1200 payment points of Azerpost LLC, and on websites of the Government Payment Portal (www.apus.az) and the State Social Protection Fund (www.sspf.gov.az) via payment cards.

The next phases will cover integration of internal information systems of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Customs Committee, the Ministry of Health, the State Securities Committee and other public structures to the Government Payment Portal.
