OREANDA-NEWS. July 19, 2012. All-metal cord tires produced by Nizhnekamskshina for KAMAZ trucks greatly improve their consumer properties.

The construction of solid metal cord tires enables to increase capacity to 8% and reduce fuel consumption to 15%. Compared with ordinary tires, these models are more durable, lighter, but, at the same time, they feature higher speed performance (140 km/h). Besides, one can extend their useful service life to 400,000 miles of running by means of retreading. Thanks to these tires, the vehicle can be operated almost nonstop for a long time. It is possible due to additional components in the rubber mixture which prevent tire overheating. The tires undergo several stages of quality control: visual and X-ray control, as well as tire uniformity measurement.

The range of all-metal cord tires is very wide. It includes models for linehaul, medium-duty, light trucks, transport vehicles, as well as buses and trailers. For example, Model 201 (with a tread pattern for regional transportation) can be operated for long and short distance transportation, as well as on hard-surface roads, both on Russian and international motorways. Model 701 is ideal for normal and off-road operation. One should pay attention to letter values the products are marked with. Thus, for example, “F” indicates that tires are designed for front axles, “R” is for rear axles, and “T” means trailer axles. This marking offers only preferable application; therefore tires can be used on other axles too.
