OREANDA-NEWS. July 20, 2012. Kazakhstan Kagazy announced that Kagazy Recycling, its fully owned subsidiary, has opened a new waste collection point in Aksai, Almaty.

The Group opened the second waste (or recycling) collection point in Aksai 3A microdistrict, Almaty. The first waste collection point was opened in May 2012 in Bostandyk district. By the end of July the Group plans to open three more waste collection points in Almaty as part of its pilot project aimed at increasing the collection volumes of recycled paper from the local population.

Taissiya Kogutyuk, CEO of the Group, commented: "We are pleased with the success of our first collection point and the response that we have received from the local citizens. Almaty residents have welcomed the opportunity to send their waste for recycling rather than throw it away and contribute to the growing recycling problem in the city. We are grateful to the city authorities for their full support of our initiative. "

Kagazy Recycling, a part of Kazakhstan Kagazy, produces paper, corrugated cardboard and cardboard containers.
