OREANDA-NEWS. July 20, 2012. Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power utility, re-defined customer convenience for its Mumbai customers by launching Itz Cash Card payment facility. Continuing with the tradition of superior customer care, the company increased its bandwidth of payment options by including Itz Cash Cards as an additional payment option over and above the online and offline modes already available.

Tata Power customers can now make their bill payment anywhere, anytime at their convenience with Itz Cash Card. This facility not only provides them with the option to pay their bill online from the comfort of their home or office, but also to use Itz Cash World outlets of their choice. Speaking on the initiative, S Padmanabhan, executive director, operations, Tata Power, said, “We, at Tata Power, always strive to innovate and provide services to exceed customer expectations. The introduction of the Itz Cash Card provides another bill payment option that will help our customers make payments in a more convenient manner.”

Tata Power has introduced a host of such services for its Mumbai customers. Further, Tata Power now urges its consumers to contribute towards the nature by giving them the choice to say no to paper bills. Paperless e-bills don’t just help the environment, they help consumers too. Online payment options make bill payment easy and convenient. According to an estimate, 3000 sheets of paper cost us one tree and Tata Power is urging its customers to save trees while making it convenient for them.

Some of the other recent customer care initiatives of Tata Power include a new modern call centre for calls related to electricity bill; a multi-lingual customer portal in English, Hindi and Marathi, to further facilitate and ease consumer connect with the company; mobile collection vans and bill payment kiosks for facilitating cash payments and credit and debit card online payment facility.
