OREANDA-NEWS. July 25, 2012. The opening ceremony of the Yasnaya Polyana Customer Operations Support Center of Sberbank of Russia was held in Tula. CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank of Russia, Herman Gref, the Governor of the Tula Region, Vladimir Gruzdev, the Chairman of Srednerussky Bank of Sberbank of Russia, Oleg Smirnov, the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank of Russia, Stanislav Kuznetsov, the Senior Vice-President of Sberbank of Russia, Olga Kanovich, and the Plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in the Central Federal District, Alexander Beglov took part in the event. The ceremony was also attended by the delegations from Sberbank’s other COSCs from all over the country, reported the press-centre of Sberbank.

The COSC's main objective is complex servicing and support of all customer operations: deposits, loans, bank cards, utility and social payments, money transfers, and corporate payments. Transferring the support of operations to a single center helps to speed up the services provided immediately by the bank offices, and at the same time gives the employees more possibilities for consultations and individual work with customers. The centralization of operating processes results in the bank's enhanced performance by one third on average.

COSCs are created under the project for transformation of Sberbank’s operating functions, which is aimed at enhancing the bank’s performance and the quality of customer services. Srednerussky Bank has been implementing the project for centralizing all customer operations since 2010. The ceremonial opening of the Yasnaya Polyana COSC marks the beginning of operation of all the COSC divisions on one platform and the completion of the centralization of all operating functions by Srednerussky Bank. Thus, COSC is taking up its normal mode of operations.

“The Yasnaya Polyana COSC is our tenth anniversary customer operations support center. It's pleasant that such round figure falls on the Yasnaya Polyana COSC, which is already one of the leaders in Sberbank’s operating sector by its labor productivity. Thus in 2011, according to the management report, the labor productivity grew by over 30 %, which was the third result among all COSCs of the system. For the 6 months of 2012, the consolidated productivity indicator grew by over 40 %. I hope that in its new home, the team of Yasnaya Polyana will consolidate and improve its performance,” said Herman Gref, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank of Russia.

The Yasnaya Polyana COSC supports customer operations performed by the subdivisions of Srednerussky Bank of Sberbank of Russia in Moscow, Tula, Bryansk, Ryazan, Tver, Kaluga, and Smolensk Regions. COSC services 180,000 corporate accounts and 37,000,000 retail accounts. It makes all social payments – pensions, benefits, military allowances – to 6.5 million recipients, and charges salaries to some 2.6 million employees of 26,000 companies cooperating with Sberbank under salary projects.

At present, the Yasnaya Polyana COSC employs 1,750 people, and in all 2,300 employees will work here.
