Oranta continues to carry out regular indemnity payments to its customers under the contracts of agricultural insurance for the damaged (dead), winter crops as a result of hibernation. According to Oranta’s statistics as a result of adverse weather conditions the most affected were farmers of Kherson and Sumy regions. In each of both regions a loss was claimed by 11 farms. According to Deputy Chairman of the Board of Vyacheslav Grabyna unfavorable to farmers' conditions were caused by several factors. "Arid autumn of 2011, especially in the southern regions of the country, severe winter with temperatures up to -30 degrees C, and abnormally high temperatures in April this year resulted in the loss of winter crops in some regions of Ukraine", - commented on the causes of agricultural losses Vyacheslav Grabyna.
