OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2012. "This is our real way to Europe, to the most advanced position of the economy" - the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said, visiting the inauguration ceremony of the river dock terminal of branch office "Pereyaslavs’ka" of NIBULON Joint venture in Chyrske village of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyi district.

"It is particularly important - he said - that a network of such terminals based on the Dnieper, as we want - not only to revive Dnieper, but Southern Buh as powerful traffic arteries."

According to Mykola Azarov this national project "will relieve the roads and railways, and will carry bulk cargoes by the cheapest river transport."

The Prime Minister also stressed that the cost of storing grain at the newest grain terminal complexes is at 30% lower than at traditional elevators and it is very significant because it affects the final cost of the grain.

It is also extremely important that the elevator and terminal sector together with the river fleet will give more than 10,000 new jobs with high wages.

The terminal of branch office "Pereyaslavs’ka" worth 170 million UAH is the second such venture in the Kyiv region, where since December 1, 2011 at Denihivka village operates elevator complex. The volume of grain storage is 75.6 tons, capacity dryers - 3 tons per day, capacity of shipping on the waterway - 10 tons per day.

Prime Minister sets goal to satisfy agricultural production in Ukraine, in particular, the increase in grain production and 80 - 100 million tons per year, and vegetables - to 30 - 40 million tons. This task requires the usege of large-scale investments in the agricultural sector, a radical modernization of market infrastructure and attracting additional hundreds of thousands of professionals and workers.

The growth rate of investment in agriculture is much higher than in other industries in the past year, investment in agriculture, compared with 2010, increased in 7.2 times.
