OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2012. The third boat of a series of three catamarans, ordered by the Administration of Primorsky Territory and being constructed at Vladivostok-based Vostochnaya Verf for the APEC summit guests is set to be launched, the project designer Composite Shipbuilding said. The outfitting works and interior finishing of the three vessels are in full swing. The first two catamarans of this series have been launched.

The first boat was launched on June 24. Dock-side tests are scheduled for completion on July 23, sea trials – by July 26, delivery to the Customer – at the end of July.
The second catamaran was launched on July 14, her dock-side and sea trials will be completed by August 8th, and then delivered to the Customer.

Both catamarans designed to carry 223 people can reach maximum speeds of 25 knots.

Composite Shipbuilding specializes in the construction of modern composite hull vessels, primarily of high-speed passenger catamarans and special purpose boats. In 2011, the Company successfully completed Russia's first high-speed passenger vessels made of composite materials, constructed passenger catamarans for the APEC summit in Vladivostok, 2012 (under contract with the Primorsky Territory Administration).
