OREANDA-NEWS. July 30, 2012. Three “Schenck” German balancing machines and “Kovosvit Mas” Czech machining center module are delivered to ChTZ in terms of the program for technical modernization of ChTZ motor manufacturing plants.

New items are acquired by one of the branches of “Uralvagonzavod”, located on the territory of ChTZ diesel engines plant. Yet the machines will operate 24 hours in all manufacturing lines as well as previously bought equipment.

“Schenck” machines are intended for balancing adjustment of crankshaft and other items, while “Kovosvit Mas” machines are designed for tooling engine parts. They will be used for turning engines of T-series, which meet high European standards. In accordance with State contract for design and launch engines of new generation soon they will enter series production and will be supplied to domestic producers of automotive vehicles across the country.

Recently, ChTZ assembled and ran 12 machining center modules and multioperational machines, which replaced dozens old-aged metalcutting mechanisms. By 2013 the plant expects acquiring 20 items of new operational machines of German, Austrian and Czech production. In 2015 lines of high-producing items from Motor Plants will estimate up to 60 manufacturing systems, designed for innovative machines turnout.

The new program of modernization, which also will involve Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant, suggests re-equipment in entire enterprise for the next few years.
