OREANDA-NEWS. August 01, 2012. The devices are used for conduct of titrametric analysis which helps to measure volume and concentration of the solution necessary for the reaction with detected substance. The whole process is launched with a push of a button. Depending on procedure of preparation of a sample the analysis can take from five minutes to one hour. The titration itself occurs during several minutes, reported the press-centre of Titan.

Coulometric titrator conducts analysis of moisture in auxiliary material – vaseline oil. Potentiometric titrator serves for detection of sour sulfur and hydrogen sulfide in principal feedstock – propane-propylene fraction.

The high-precision equipment allows to detect the content of components of the sample on low concentration limit. High-quality titrimetric analysis is highly important for the control of technological process.

Thus, for example, sour sulfur and hydrogen sulfide remaining in propylene after partition of propane-propylene fraction can serve as inhibitors of polymerization process. The new equipment will help to detect even small quantity of these substances in original feedstock.

At present starting-up and adjustment of the apparatus had already been completed.

In automatic titrators, unlike the laboratorian ones, all operations of titrimetric analysis are automatized: addition of necessary amount of reagent and solvent, agitation, proportioning of titrant (titration), detection of the final point, stopping of titrant supply, calculation of analysis result and its automatic presentation on the titrator display etc.
