OREANDA-NEWS. August 02, 2012. The IMF mission is visiting Ukraine in September to assess the fiscal policies of our state in 2013. This was stated by the First vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Valeriy Khoroshkovskiy after his meeting with the MD of IMF Christine Lagarde, held in Washington.

During the talks, the First vice Prime Minister stressed on the sequence of the Government’s activity aimed at implementation of reforms, maintaining of macro-stability, reforming the energy sector, and so on.

The main attention was paid to the priorities of cooperation within the framework of the stand-by IMF program for Ukraine.

"Ukraine has already implemented almost all its obligations. However, the increase in tariffs for gas and heat to the public and utilities sector, without a comprehensive, integrated reform of the relevant sectors of national economy will not give the desired effect"- Mr. Khoroshkovskiy said.

During talks it was focused on the implementation of Ukraine's state budget this year.
