OREANDA-NEWS. August 03, 2012. The Head of The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) Igor Artemyev had a press-conference, where he presented a Report about FAS performance in 2004-2012, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Igor Artemyev discussed modernization of antimonopoly and advertising laws and the law on foreign investments, and informed about developing modern public procurement system and including the antimonopoly norms in industry-specific laws and regulations. The Head of the antimonopoly authority also focused on the problems of protecting and developing competition in oil, metallurgical, coal markets, in education, commerce, health care, communications, and financial markets, etc.

“I am convinced that all ministers and heads of governmental agencies must report to the society about the work performed”, pointed out Igor Artemyev.

Igor Artemyev emphasized that FAS is the first federal executive body in Russia that is certified for compliance with ISO 9001-2008 international quality management system. Global Competition Review gave FAS the 17th position in 2011 enforcement rating of top competition authorities.
