OREANDA-NEWS. August 06, 2012. JSC United Aircraft Corporation held the Board of Directors’ (BoD) meeting today. Two issued were on the meeting’s agenda: election of the Chairman of the UAC’s Board of Directors and the UAC’s position in relation to appointment of Irkut Corporation’s CEO, reported the press-centre of UAC.  

The Board of Directors of JSC United Aircraft Corporation reelected Vladimir Dmitriev, Chairman of State Corporation “The Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)”, as its Chairman. Vladimir Dmitriev has been Chairman of the UAC’s BoD since 2011.

The UAC’s BoD also decided to agree with the motion of the UAC’s Executive Board on early resignation of Alexei Fedorov, President of Irkut Corporation, upon his application, as well as on election of Oleg Demchenko, Senior Vice-President of JSC UAC, General Director – General Constructor of Yakovlev Design Bureau, as the President of JSC Irkut Corporation. Oleg Demchenko was at the head of Irkut Corporation from 2005 to 2011. Under the guidance of Oleg Demchenko the key aviation programs such as MC-21 and Yak-130 have been successfully developed. In this regard his election as the President of JSC Irkut Corporation will provide for succession in management as well as high efficiency of Irkut Corporation’s performance. Oleg Demchenko will keep his post as Senior Vice-President of UAC.

On the same day JSC Irkut Corporation held its meeting of the Board of Directors that elected Oleg Demchenko as President of Irkut Corporation.
