OREANDA-NEWS. August 09, 2012. According to the report the European Commission, the funds will be provided to our country within the Annual Action Programme for 2012 of the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument - ENPI).

The new funding will be directed to reforming the justice system, support local and regional development, improvement of vocational education and training, as well as to assist in preparation of new bilateral agreements between Moldova and the EU. In particular, the European Union in the field of Justice will support the efforts of the Government of Moldova to establish a system of independent, transparent and professional judiciary.

In the field of regional development assistance to Moldova, the EU will help to reduce economic and social disparities between regions. In education, the EU will continue to support the reform of vocational education and training to adapt to the real needs of the labour market of functioning market economy. In addition, they stipulate provision of the necessary assistance to Moldova to the negotiation and implementation of future agreements with the EU and facilitate participation of the Republic in the framework of EU programs and agencies.

The European Commission notes that Moldova is an active member of the "Eastern Partnership", and providing it with the new EU aid reaffirms its commitment to continue supporting the reform process in the country.
