OREANDA-NEWS. August 13, 2012. By decision of the shareholder meeting of Rusatom Overseas, Djomart Aliyev was named general director, reported the press-centre of ROSATOM. 

He will start working on August 20, 2012.

Since the company was set up in 2011, Alexei Kalinin – also director of the international business department at Rosatom – has acted as head.

“Rusatom Overseas faces the very ambitious task of becoming the company’s office abroad, creating a network of regional representatives around the entire world that are convenient for our clients, and creating for our partners the best possible conditions for cooperating with Rosatom companies, which can offer any client in any country an offer unique on the market,” said ROSATOM Deputy General Director for the development of international business Kirill Komarov.

Biographical information

Djomart Fyzylovich Aliyev was born on March 1, 1968, in Tashkent. He holds a graduate degree in Economics (Bauman Moscow State Technical University) and a doctorate in business administration (Kennedy Western University, USA), DBA.

In 1987 he graduated from the Gubkin Moscow Oil and Gas Institute with a specialisation in engineering and technology (the technology of organic and petrochemical processing), and in 1996 graduated from the Plekhanov Russian Economics Academy with a specialisation in finance and credit and currency circulation.

From 1989 to 1996 he worked in various business structures, in a variety of roles. In 1996 he went to work at LUKOIL, where over the course of four years he went from head of department to general director of LUKOIL Romania. From 2000 to 2001 he worked as the first vice president of LUKOIL Europe, and from 2001 to 2004 he was head of centre at the parent company. In 2004 he moved to URALSIB Bank, where over seven years he moved from advisor to first deputy chairman.

He is married and has seven children.
