OREANDA-NEWS. August 13, 2012. Ural Airlines has summed up the operating results for July 2012. During the past month, the airline's passenger traffic equalled to 407,881, which is 25% more than in July 2011. A total of 1,907,877 passengers used the carrier's services YTD. Ural Airlines expect to check in the two millionth passenger in mid-August.

In July 2012, Ural Airlines have carried out 2,679 flights (the figure has grown by 18% YOY since 2011). This includes 1,266 international flights, 900 domestic flights, and 513 flights to CIS countries. The actual passenger traffic in July equalled to 1,094,377 thousand passenger-kilometres, which is 23% higher than the 2011 level.

Ural Airlines has carried out a total of 14,925 flights since the beginning of 2012, including 6,201 international flights, 5,447 domestic flights, and 3,134 flights to CIS countries. The Ural Airlines passenger traffic has grown by 44% in the course of the seven months of 2012. The total Ural Airlines passenger traffic equalled to 5,173,943 thousand passenger-kilometres in the course of the seven months of 2012. 6,292,982 kg of cargo and 926,451 kg of mail was transported during the period.

Ural Airlines is among Russia's top 10 airlines in terms of safety level and traffic volume. In 2011, more than 2.5 M passengers used the airline's services. The geography of the airline's flights expands year by year, with a total of more than 120 destinations by now. The basis of the Ural Airlines fleet is the modern and comfortable European Airbus aircraft. As of today, the air carrier operates 24 imported aircraft (15 A320's and 9 A321's).
