OREANDA-NEWS. August 15, 2012. On the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan, the management of Qatar Petroleum’s Offshore Operations recently visited Halul Island and shared Iftar and Ghabga with QP employees and contractors who are based on the island, reported the press-centre of QP.

The event was attended by Mr. Mubarak A. Al-Hajri, Operations Manager-Offshore Fields; Mr. Ahmed Abbad Al-Aji, Manager Production; Mr. Ahmad Amer Mohd Al-Hemaidi, Manager of Halul Terminal & Export; Mr. Rashid Majed Al-Sulaiti, Manager for Operations Engineering; Mr. Mahmoud Abdulla Khoori, Manager Marine; Mr. Hassan Abdulla Salman Al-Saygh, Manager for Health, Safety and Environment; and Mr. Nasser Ahmad Ali Haji, Head of Business Planning and Acting Manager for Field Support.

“Our visit to Halul Island was an opportunity for us to closely interact with our offshore-based employees and contractors as we shared a meal together in a spirit of unity and brotherhood during this holy month,” said Mr. Al-Hajri in his comments on the occasion.

Mr. Al-Hajri extended his gratitude to H.E. Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman & Managing Director of QP, for his continued support to QP’s Offshore Operations, and he also thanked Mr. Said Mubarak Al-Mohannadi, Director Operations, for his valued encouragement and guidance.

As part of the event, various social activities were organized, during which the senior officials visited the accommodation of employees and held informal discussions with them on a variety of topics.

Sports activities were also held, including a friendly volleyball match between a team from the HSE Department of QP’s Offshore Operations and a team from Amwaj Catering Services. Mr. Al-Hajri later presided over the presentation of a trophy to the winning Amwaj team, while bronze medals were awarded to the team members of the HSE Department.
