OREANDA-NEWS. August 15, 2012. Power Machines OJSC has produced and tested in the presence of the customer a 330 MW steam turbine to upgrade the second power unit of Ryazanskaya TPP, reported the press-centre of Power Machines. 

A contract to upgrade the second power unit of Ryazanskaya TPP providing for complete replacement of the steam turbine and generator was concluded in 2008. According to the contractual terms Power Machines are to produce and supply a K-300 turbine having a capacity of 330 MW, hydrogen and water cooled turbogenerator having a capacity of 350 MW, as well as auxiliary equipment. Moreover, the company’s obligations include supervision services during installation and commissioning of the equipment supplied.

The start of the steam turbine’s shipment is scheduled for August and the end – for September this year. 

Earlier, in February 2012, Power Machines produced the turbogenerator ahead of the contractual schedule. Its delivery will be completed in Q3 this year. 

The renovated power unit is to be put into operation in Q4 2013. Today seven power units (including two having a capacity of 800 MW) are running at Ryazanskaya TPP. The main power equipment for them was previously manufactured at Power Machines’ production facilities.
