OREANDA-NEWS. August 20, 2012. The National aircompany “Uzbekistan Airways” meets the Air Fleet Day and the 21st anniversary of Independence of our republic with new achievements and positive results. In current year the NAC has become a laureate of award of Partnership “Flight Safety” in nomination “For prominent achievements in flight safety provision” and a holder of diploma of the International Flight Safety Foundation, that has rewarded the NAC “For outstanding achievements in the field of flight safety”. The National aircompany of Uzbekistan has successfully passed through the IOSA Audit, that is notable event for the civil aviation industry too, reported the press-centre of Uzbekistan Airways.
 
The large intermodal logistic center on the base of International airport “Navoi” has been continuing to develop, where cargo terminal with capacity of processing up to 300 tons of cargo per day is exploited now. The new passenger air terminal with capacity up to 400 passengers per hour, equipped by all comfort facilities on the level of international standards, has been put into operation.
The new procedural simulator “Boeing-767” has been mounted in the Simulator Complex of the NAC, where pilots may work out both standard and contingency situations. In near future pilots of the NAC will receive pilotage training not only on the most modern simulators “А320” and “Boeing”, but also on “Full-flight” simulator “IL-114-100”, in conditions that are as much as possible approximated to the reality.
 
Replenishment of fleet by new generation aircraft has being continued. In current year a number of new Boeing-767 aircraft will amount 4 units, and during period 2014 – 2016 the NAC will receive 2 Boeing-787 Dreamliner aircraft. It is needed to note that Dreamliner was in Uzbekistan during its world presentation tour and landed in the airport of our capital. A pilot of the NAC, Director of Flight Complex A. Karimov flied on this “prodigy of modern technichs” as crew member during demonstration flight. Now the matter of creation of center in Uzbekistan on the base of aviation enterprise "Uzbekistan Airways Technics" for repair of large structural components of such aircraft, made of composite materials, is studied. It says about workmanship of Uzbek specialists on maintenance and far-reaching perspectives.
 
It is needed to note the advancements of airports of the NAC. International airport “Bukhara” has again become the winner of contest “The best airport of year within the CIS countries” of Association “Civil Aviation Airport” in nomination “Dynamically developing airport” according to the activity results of year 2011. The new arrival terminal for international flights has been put into operation in the international airport “Urgench”, where all conditions have been created for qualitative servicing up to 200 passengers per hour. The Quality Management System has been implemented in all air gates of the republic, that is confirmed by quality certificates. New technics and technologies have being introduced everywhere.

On the edge of the 21st anniversary of Independence of our Homeland the measures on increasing the flight safety, improving the quality of servicing a passengers and aviation technics are strengthened in the National aircompany. The additional security zones are created in airports and terminals being reconstructed. Now a policy of achieving the absolute safety and security system has been adopted, that means maximal comfort and conveniences for passengers in combination with high degree of flight safety and security of passengers and whole airports infrastructure.
 
Production performances of the National aircompany are constantly improved. Figures are the evidence of this. According to the results of work for 6 months of year 2012 the aircraft of the NAC “Uzbekistan Airways” have performed 12 339 flights, that is at 419 flights more than during 6 months of year 2011. 1 million 244 thousand passengers have used the NAC's flights, that is at 17.1% more in comparison with the same period of year 2011. 20 thousand tons of cargo (including excess baggage) have been transported, as well as 755 tons of mail (increasing at 20.5%).
