The Russian concern Gazprom will supply Moldova with gas at an average price of 375 dollars for 1,000 cubic metres in 2012-2014, according to information issued following an yearly general assembly of the concern's stockholders, held in last June. The shareholders backed by majority vote the agreements signed between Gazprom and Moldovagaz, according to which the Russian giant will supply the Moldovan-Russian society Moldovagaz with 10.4 billion cubic metres of gaz for an overall sum of 3.9 billion dollars.

In the second quarter of 2012, Moldova imported gas at a contractual price of 389.88 dollars for 1,000 cubic metres, according to a quarterly report by the Gazprom concern.

At the same time, Moldovagaz will provide services for the transportation of about 70 billion cubic metres of gaz across Moldova. Gazprom plans to pay 172 million dollars for these services in 2012-2014.

In early last July, Moldovagaz informed about the extension of the old contract on gas supply, which expired on 31 December 2011, till 31 December 2012. The contract-related conditions of provision and transit of gas remained unchanged too.
