OREANDA-NEWS. August 20, 2012. This is stated in a financial report by Gazprom for the second quarter of 2012. A contract price for Russian gas supplied to Moldova by Gazprom was USD382.24 in Q1.

According to the contract on supply of Russian gas to Moldova for 2007-2011, which was prolonged till the end of 2012, a gas price for Moldova is calculated by a formula which includes a price Gazprom is selling natural gas to non-CIS states and quotations of prices for gas oil and black oil for 9 months preceding a quarter of the supply.

In particular, an estimated price for gas for Moldova was USD 288.71 per 1 thou. c.m.(USD 292.88 per 1 thou. sq.m. taking onto consideration a real gas heating value) in Q1; USD 316.71 (USD 321.71) in Q2; 361.17 (USD 368.39) in Q3 and USD 395,53 (USD 402.27) in Q4. In 2011 debts of Moldova to Gazrpom increased due to non-payments of Transdniestrian consumers, the report of Gazprotm runs. Non-payments of consumers of Transdniestria lead to shortfalls in the budget of Gazprom.

In January-June, 2012 as compared with the same period of 2011 deliveries of natural gas to Moldova, including Transdniestria, grew 0.9% from 1 bln. 637 mln.c.m. to 1 bln. 652.2 mln. c.m. The deliveries of gas to the right bank of the Dniester declined 4.5% from 665,5 mln. c.m. to 635.8 mln. c.m. whereas the deliveries to the left bank of the Dniester grew 4.6% from 971,5 mln. c.m. to 1 bln. 16.4 mln.

Moldovagaz, a stock company, was established in 1999. Its authorized capital equals to 1.33 mln. leis. Major4 shareholdings of Moldovagaz belong to Gazprom(50%), the government of Moldova presented by the Agency of Public Property (35.33%) and the Transdniestrian administration presented by the Committee on Property Administration (13.44%).
