OREANDA-NEWS. August 20, 2012. In 2012-2015 ROSATOM will receive from the federal budget up to USD 2.73 million dollars for the implementation of a regional project for enhancement of skills in the field of radiation oncology of physicists in medicine from the CIS countries a corresponding resolution of the Russian Government was published on the Cabinet’s website, reported the press-centre of ROSATOM. 

This project is carried out in the framework of the technical cooperation program of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Out of the said funds, up to USD 1.72 million is envisaged for the payment of the target contribution to the IAEA, of them up to USD 410,000 are to be paid this year and up to USD 430,000 in 2013, and up to USD 440,000 in 2014 and 2015.

An amount of up to RUB30.23 million will be spent for financing of training courses in frames of the project in Russia. This year it is envisaged to spend up to RUB2.3 million, in 2013 and 2014 up to RUB 8.9 million and up to RUB10.2 million for these purposes.

According to the Governmental resolution, ROSATOM and the Ministry of Finance of Russia should agree with the IAEA the contribution payment procedure. Besides, ROSATOM, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will coordinate the Russian participation in the project implementation and will control the use of the Russian contribution.
