OREANDA-NEWS. August 20, 2012. JSC “Techsnabexport” (TENEX), subsidiary company of Rosatom State Corporation, and the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC),  charged with implementing the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) nuclear energy program,  signed a long-term contract for supply of enriched uranium product, reported the press-centre of ROSATOM. 

The contract was signed by Mr. Alexey Grigoriev, General Director of TENEX, and Mr. Mohamed Al Hammadi, Chief Executive Officer of ENEC.

For TENEX this is the first contract in the Persian Gulf region. “I am very pleased and proud that TENEX was chosen by ENEC as one of the key suppliers of the enriched uranium product required for operation of the first nuclear energy plant that ENEC is now building in the UAE”, - Alexey Grigoriev, General Director of TENEX commented on the signing.

“The development of the UAE’s nuclear energy program is based on the most exacting standards of safety, transparency, security and non-proliferation, making the country a role model for nuclear energy development and for industry new-comers worldwide”, - he added.
