OREANDA-NEWS. August 21, 2012. According to preliminary data of the Association “Ukrautoprom,” July 2012 saw a decline in production levels of 30.6% in comparison to the month of July last year, to the figure of 6,698 motor vehicles.

Passenger vehicle production levels declined by 32% to 6,149 units, while commercial vehicles demonstrated a steeper fall of 41.5%, declining to the level of 207 units. At the same time, production of busses increased by 25.7%, to the figure of 342 units.

After seven months of 2012, motor vehicle production levels fell by almost 20%, as the amount of domestically produced vehicles amounted to 46 516 units, with a breakdown of:

Passenger vehicles – 42,691 (-21.7%)

Commercial vehicles – 1,998 (+10.6%)

Busses – 1,827 (+12.6%)
