OREANDA-NEWS. August 23, 2012. In Moscow took place the first meeting of the leaders of JSC "FPK" (subsidiary to JSC "Russian Railways") and JSC "Ulan-Bator Railway" dealing with the issues of cooperation on the field of international passenger rail traffic between Russia and Mongolia, reported the press-centre of RZD.

In the meeting were discussed a number of issues concerning the actual tariffs regulation for passenger traffic between the countries, service improvement and security in the long distance trains.

Considering that the tickets for the Moscow - Ulan-Bator trains can be acquired only on the site of departure, to estimate the demand on the part of the passengers JSC "FPK" suggested as a test to exchange the rate of return tickets for one 2nd class carriage of the train Nr.6/5 Moscow – Ulan-Bator set by JSC "FPK" and Mongolian railways for the period between May 26th and September 20th 2013.

Representatives of State Transport Administration of the Ministry of the Interior of Russia present at the meeting confirmed their readiness to organize escort of the train Nr. 5/6 on Russian territory by units of transport police, because at the present date the Mongolian policemen don`t have legal reasons for security activities on the trains in Russia.

During the meeting the parts also came to the decision to organize escorts of JSC "Ulan-Bator Railway" by JSC "FPK" security instructors, who will control the quality of service provided by the train staff on the territory of Russian Federation.

Beside this in the nearest future JSC "FPK" and JSC "Ulan-Bator Railway" will sign Regulations for cooperation in case of traffic accidents and train delays.
