OREANDA-NEWS. August 24, 2012. An important new electricity facility, the 220-kilovolt Buzhora sub-station, has been brought into operation in Southern Russia. As stated by Russia’s Federal Grid Company (FGC UES), the sub-station has been built in response to rapid growth of energy consumption in Krasnodar Territory (particularly in central and south-western districts of the Territory), reported the press-centre of NOMOS-BANK.

The new facility will address the problem of energy shortages and enable development of leisure resorts in the towns of Anapa and Gelendzhik. The work was carried out as part of the FGC UES investment programme. Investments totaled RUB 2.4 billion.

Construction of the sub-station was carried out by LLC KubanStroiEnergo, and the Rostov branch of NOMOS-BANK acted as guarantor to the customer (OJSC FGC UES) for proper fulfilment of the contract. Total value of NOMOS-BANK’s current guarantees with respect to the contract is RUB 565 million.

“We are glad that this project, the importance of which cannot be overstated, has been successfully completed. NOMOS-BANK has worked successfully with LLC KubanStroiEnergo since 2010 and the company has shown itself to be a high-quality and competent partner, making good use of the guarantee and credit products offered by our Bank, and also taking advantage of our deposit facilities for deployment of temporarily free cash. We look forward to further development of our partnership, and to working together on new, large-scale and important projects,” said Igor Nesterov, managing director of the Rostov branch of NOMOS-BANK.

“The correctness of our decision in 2010 to choose NOMOS-BANK as our financial partner has been confirmed once again. The Bank’s extensive experience of financial organization, including provision of guarantees to OJSC FGC UES, enables rapid and efficient solution of business development issues, and hence also of issues in development of the electricity sector,” said Anton Klyamorov, the Director of LLC KubanStroiEnergo.

The official opening of the new sub-station was attended by the Deputy Governor of Krasnodar Territory, Vadim Lukyanov, the Minister of Industry and Energy of Krasnodar Territory Vitaly Brizhan, the Executive Chairman of OJSC FGC UES, Oleg Budargin, the CEO of OJSC UES Engineering and Construction Management, Sergei Sergeyev, the CEO of Transmission Cables (South), Fedor Dyakov, the Director of the UES System Operator (Kuban Section), Yury Stepanyan, the Director of LLC KubanStroiEnergo, Anton Klyamorov, and the Manager of the Rostov branch of NOMOS-BANK, Igor Nesterov.
