OREANDA-NEWS. August 28, 2012. UTair-Engineering facilities in Russia have been issued a four year certificate from DGAC, the Peruvian National Civil Aviation Authority, for MRO activity on aircraft licensed for operations in Peru.

A DGAC team performed an inspection of the UTair-Engineering MRO facilities in Russia to ascertain compliance with Peruvian aviation regulations RAP-145NE. UTair-Engineering passed the inspection and was issued a certificate for continued MRO of Mil Mi-8, Mi-8MT Mi-8 MTV-1 (Mi 17-1V), Mi-8AMT and Mi 171 rotorcraft registered in the Republic of Peru.

The renewal of certification reinforces the UTair-Engineering reputation for professionalism and serves as a quality assurance for services that meet the rigorous ISO 9001:2008-certified quality management system standards. Moreover, MRO certification paves the way in UTair-Engineering's currently work in preparing to launch a subsidiary at the Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima, Peru. The local subsidiary will allow UTair-Engineering to perform maintenance operations directly in Peru and attract potential customers in South America.
